Sunny South Florida

About two years ago, my dad bought a vacation home in Port St. Lucie, Florida. It has been our baby, putting in blood, sweat and tears. Painting, fixing it up and designing it each time we took a trip down there. I would go with my dad and his girlfriend ranging from a weekend trip, to a week, to ten days putting in manual labor to make this house a home. Now, we finally have the opportunity to enjoy it!

This was our first trip down here that it didn’t rain; never thought I’d live to see the day! Extra sun meant extra fun and we were going to be sure to take advantage of it. Traveling down every few months, we have been able to pick out our favorite places in the area. From the outdoor beauty of the Dolphin Bar, to the interior décor of Osaka, the amazing food at Sushi Goma, the amazing drinks at Mulligans Beach House Bar and Grill, and the Florida famous breakfast fritters at Berry Fresh Cafe; we have found our go-to’s.

Each trip we stop into all of these restaurants and have even made friends with the wait staff. Recently we started going to Down to Earth Yoga to increase our relaxation. This place offers great deals to students and first time visitors, an excellent get away to connect with yourself and the beauty around you.

Heathcote Botanical Gardens in Fort Pierce was also a newer stop on our most recent trip. Gorgeous flowers and bonsai trees lining the gardens to keep you in that grounded mood right after yoga!
